in practice:

• ISO tanks provide safe, efficient, reusable, and recyclable transport and storage of bulk liquids and gases.

• We work with specialised certified contractors to recycle end-of-life containers: over 90% of the steel and aluminium in each tank is reused.

• We also offer composite tank containers, which are 40% lighter and provide 40% better insulation, saving energy and reducing emissions in use.

EcoVadis

Peacock Container has achieved an EcoVadis gold rating for its progress in environmental, labour and human rights and governance objectives.

GRESB

Since 2022, our sustainability achievements have also been assessed by the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).

SFDR

As a portfolio company of a European infrastructure fund, Peacock Container reports on sustainability indicators required by the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). 

Metrics reported include scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, labour, human rights and governance issues.

ISO tank sustainability

• ISO tank containers can be safely lifted, stacked and transported intermodally – enabling sustainable transport by rail and by road trucks fuelled by renewable energy.

• Our manufacturers innovate to achieve efficiency in their industrial processes and to reduce the carbon footprint of tank containers in use (for example, by reduced tank weight).

• Intermodal transport enables efficient door to door delivery without the risk, wastage, cost, energy consumption and carbon footprint of cargo transshipment.

• ISO tank containers are used multiple times over a 20-year life, without generating the plastic waste associated with single-use plastic flexi-bags lining conventional containers.

• We are committed to raising awareness and improving efficiency in consumption of resources in our operations.

• ISO tanks can support energy transition by providing  portable storage and transport of renewable fuels, and potentially carbon capture and storage.
